MediaNet Announces the 4th Annual Reel Dance Film Fest

MediaNet presents the REEL DANCE FILM FEST, at 7:30 on July 26 and August 2, 2008, at the Victoria Arts Connection (2750 Quadra) in Victoria, B.C., showcasing dance films from around the world, and works made by the participants of MediaNet’s Dance for the Camera workshop this summer. Our international screening on July 26 includes films from Chile, Greece, South Korea, the United States and Canada. Works will include:

Metropolis VideoDanza by Carlos Dittborn Callejas (Chile), The Mysteries of Nature by Dahci Ma (South Korea), Funky Beep by Athena Rachel Tsangari (Greece), Of Time and the Spirit by Tonia Shimin (U.S.A.), and Blue by Elif Isikozlu (Canada).

MediaNet’s workshop, Dance for the Camera (DFTC), is an intensive summer production program for choreographers, filmmakers, and dancers, led by Guggenheim-award-wining filmmaker and choreographer, Ellen Bromberg.
